Some how you stumbled onto my page for whatever reason. By accident, to learn, to just see what I am all about or you’re also a vet tech. Whatever the case I am happy you’re here. This is MY safe space, my journal, my outlet to get things out, to educate, to talk whether it’s happy, sad, good or bad. It will all get said here. I don’t sugar coat in real life so I’m not going to change that here, so don’t say you haven’t been warned.

You’ll get a little taste of everything here. What really goes on in a vet hospital day to day, me venting about my shift, hard cases, advocating and educating on everything vet med. I plan to try breaking it down so that you are actually able to understand and go into your next appointment with your fur baby and be a little less confused, less pressured and have a little bit more compaction for the staff and not just think were in it for the money and get that we are there for the animals and to be their advocate because trust me… this job is FAR from glamorous and truthfully under paid for the amount that is taken on from the staff.
A little about me
I wont spend as much time talking about me cause 1. I don’t like talking about myself and 2. If you want to know a little extra about me head over to the “about me” tab! But I’ve been in vet med since 2018 and you pretty much know from the first month if you think this could be forever or if its just a stepping stone until you know what type of career you want. Fortunately for me I knew I could do this forever. There’s always something to learn, always growth to find, and plenty of animals to advocate for. The human aspect of my job is not my favorite but hey, it comes with the job and I’ve learned to have better communication skills since being in vet med. I love the rush of adrenalin when there’s an emergency and you get to put your skills to the test and actually do what you went into vet med for.
Besides working, on my days off I’m a lazy human cause in my brain I have to relax as much as possible to recharge for the work week. I don’t always do nothing. I do take my own dog to run and burn off energy, boring house chores and write for you guys and of course myself.
I’m in this field for a reason
If you have stayed this long with me, you have stayed for a reason and I hope Im able to give you the education, the laughs or the comfort of my blog to continue to stay with me. If you have stayed cause you’re also a vet tech wanting an outlet of your own, welcome. You can share your stories with me, your struggles or just to chit chat. If you are just a pet lover or owner and have questions, concerns I can do my very best to help ease your mind. My email is there for whoever needs it.
